Welcome to Assured Hands Janitorial Services. By using our services or accessing our website, you agree to comply with and be bound by the following Terms of Service. Please read these terms carefully before using our services.
1. Service Agreement
By booking a cleaning service with Assured Hands Janitorial Services, you enter into a service agreement with us. We will provide cleaning services at the agreed-upon location, time, and frequency as specified in your service request or contract.
2. Booking and Scheduling
- Service Requests: All service requests must be made at least 24 hours in advance unless otherwise agreed.
- Confirmation: Services are confirmed only after we provide written or verbal confirmation.
- Rescheduling: Clients may reschedule appointments with at least 24 hours' notice. Same-day cancellations may incur a cancellation fee.
- Access: Clients must provide access to the premises at the scheduled time. If access is not available, a trip charge may apply.
3. Payment Terms
- Pricing: Service prices are provided in quotes and confirmed before service delivery.
- Payment Methods: We accept cash, e-transfer, credit cards, and debit cards.
- Payment Due: Payment is due immediately upon completion of services unless other arrangements have been made.
- Late Payments: Late payments may be subject to interest charges and may result in suspension of services.
- Deposits: For large projects or first-time clients, a deposit may be required.
4. Cancellation Policy
- 24+ Hours Notice: No cancellation fee with at least 24 hours' notice.
- Same-Day Cancellation: A cancellation fee of 50% of the service cost may apply.
- No-Shows: Full service cost will be charged for no-shows without notice.
- Recurring Services: Recurring service contracts may be cancelled with 14 days' written notice.
5. Client Responsibilities
Clients agree to:
- Provide a safe working environment free from hazards
- Secure or remove valuables, fragile items, and important documents before service
- Inform us of any areas requiring special attention or to be avoided
- Provide access to water, electricity, and necessary facilities
- Notify us of pets, security systems, or special access requirements
- Disclose any hazardous materials or conditions on the premises
6. Our Responsibilities
Assured Hands Janitorial Services agrees to:
- Provide professional, eco-friendly cleaning services as agreed
- Arrive at scheduled times or notify you of delays
- Use safe, environmentally-friendly cleaning products
- Respect your property and privacy
- Maintain appropriate insurance coverage
- Address any concerns or service issues promptly
7. Liability and Insurance
- Insurance: We maintain general liability insurance for damages caused by our negligence during service.
- Pre-Existing Damage: We are not liable for damage to items that were already broken, chipped, or in poor condition.
- Excluded Items: We are not responsible for damage to antiques, collectibles, or items of sentimental value unless specifically agreed in writing.
- Claims: Any damage claims must be reported within 24 hours of service completion.
- Maximum Liability: Our liability is limited to the cost of the service provided or $500, whichever is less, unless gross negligence is proven.
8. Satisfaction Guarantee
We strive for 100% customer satisfaction. If you are not satisfied with our service:
- Notify us within 24 hours of service completion
- We will return to re-clean the area of concern at no additional charge
- If the issue cannot be resolved, we will provide a partial or full refund at our discretion
9. Service Scope
Included Services: Standard cleaning tasks as outlined in your service agreement.
Excluded Services: Unless specifically requested and quoted:
- Exterior window cleaning above first floor
- Cleaning areas that require specialized equipment or training
- Removal of biohazardous materials
- Repairs or maintenance work
- Moving furniture or heavy objects
10. Confidentiality and Privacy
We respect your privacy and confidentiality. Our staff will:
- Not disclose any information about your property or personal affairs
- Handle your personal information in accordance with our Privacy Policy
- Not remove any items from your property without permission
11. Force Majeure
We are not liable for failure to perform services due to circumstances beyond our control, including but not limited to: severe weather, natural disasters, pandemics, government restrictions, or other emergencies.
12. Termination of Services
We reserve the right to refuse or terminate service if:
- Payment is not made as agreed
- The premises pose safety hazards to our staff
- The client engages in abusive, threatening, or inappropriate behavior
- The client violates these Terms of Service
13. Modifications to Terms
We may modify these Terms of Service at any time. Changes will be posted on our website with an updated "Last Updated" date. Continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified terms.
14. Dispute Resolution
In the event of a dispute:
- Clients agree to first attempt resolution through direct communication with us
- If unresolved, disputes will be subject to mediation before legal action
- These terms are governed by the laws of Ontario, Canada
